Serchilo:Command guidelines

Serchilo's command guidelines describe which kind of commands help to keep a clear and neat command list. They should help you to find out how the command you want to add should look like.

These guidelines relate only to commands in the main namespace, not to user commands which every user can design how she wants.

Commands not fulfilling the guidelines may be reported on Serchilo:Unclear commands.

[edit] Avoid pure bookmark commands

A bookmark command is a command without parameters, e.g. g goes to Google's main page - a kind of "bookmark" for Google. This command is OK because there is also g something searching for something on Google.

If your command is a pure bookmark command redirecting to some, maybe unknown site and there is no additional search command (which takes one or more parameters), it is doubtful how this command is helpful for other users. Some even may consider it as spam.

Put such pure bookmark commands rather as user commands on your user page.
